This Privacy Policy explains how Rip Room ("we", "us") collects and uses information about you when you visit our website and sign up for the launch waitlist. This is a draft template — please have it reviewed by a qualified lawyer before going to production.

1. Who we are

Rip Room is the data controller for personal data collected through this site. You can reach us at hello@riproom.live.

2. What we collect

  • Email address — when you join the waitlist.
  • Consent record — timestamp and whether you ticked the consent box, so we can prove you opted in (GDPR Art. 7).
  • Technical metadata — your browser user agent and approximate request information, used to prevent spam and abuse.

3. Why we use it

  • To notify you when Rip Room launches and to send launch-related updates you opted in to receive.
  • To verify your email address via a confirmation link.
  • To prevent fraud and protect the integrity of our service.

Legal basis: your consent (GDPR Art. 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time using the unsubscribe link in any email we send, or by emailing us.

4. Who sees your data

We use the following processors to operate the site and send emails:

  • Lovable Cloud (Supabase) — database & hosting.
  • Lovable Email — sending transactional and waitlist emails.

We do not sell your data. We do not share it for advertising.

5. How long we keep it

We keep waitlist emails until you unsubscribe or we delete the waitlist after launch — whichever is sooner. Suppression records (so we don't email you again after unsubscribe) are kept indefinitely.

6. Your rights

Under GDPR / UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, port, or object to processing of your personal data, and to lodge a complaint with your supervisory authority. To exercise these rights, email hello@riproom.live.

7. Cookies

This site uses only strictly necessary local storage (e.g. to remember your launch countdown). We do not use tracking cookies on the waitlist landing page.

8. Changes

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated by email if we have one on file for you.
